Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with other law enforcement agencies, to conduct a comprehensive inspection of enterprises similar to the one affected by the missile strike in Vyshneve. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing the head of state.
Full inspection and safety guarantees
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the inspection must cover all such facilities. The head of each such enterprise is obliged to guarantee that tragedies similar to the one that occurred in Vyshneve will not be repeated in the future. The President emphasized the need for strict compliance with safety standards for the storage of weapons.
«There are decent places in Ukraine to store weapons and ammunition — this is all determined so that there are no residential buildings nearby», — noted Zelenskyy.
Accelerating recovery and personnel decisions
The head of state also touched upon the issue of restoring destroyed infrastructure. He emphasized that this process must happen faster, and this applies not only to Vyshneve but also to other affected territories.
Zelenskyy acknowledged that much depends on the quality of work of local communities and regional administrations, but noted that there is also room for improvement at the government level. «There will be decisions in the near future», — the president promised.
Event context
Recall that on the night of July 6, Russian forces launched a massive missile and drone strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The most difficult situation arose in the village of Vyshneve in the Bucha district. After a missile hit, a secondary detonation occurred, as a result of which almost five streets were destroyed.
Later, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the strike hit the composition of one of the enterprises of the state concern «Ukroboronprom». In connection with this incident, the president announced the dismissal of responsible persons.
