Ukraine is initiating major changes in its diplomatic efforts aimed at radically accelerating weapon deliveries from allies. This was revealed in a statement by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, cited by RBC-Ukraine. The head of state emphasized the critical need to shorten the time between announcements of support and the actual implementation of projects.

Three Priorities for Diplomacy

In his directive, Zelenskyy highlighted three key areas requiring immediate acceleration. First, it concerns agreements with the United States regarding the licensing of Patriot air defense missile system production. Second, the President emphasized work with European partners on creating an independent European air defense system. Third, other projects in the sphere of defense cooperation have been included in the priority list.

Special attention was paid by the Ukrainian leader to aid packages that have been announced but are not yet fully implemented as of now. Zelenskyy stressed that delays in fulfilling obligations are unacceptable: "Weeks should not pass between the announcement of a support package for Ukraine and its implementation." He placed responsibility for this process on all civil servants involved in diplomacy.

The Reality of Combat Operations

The necessity of urgently fulfilling agreements is dictated by the current situation on the front lines. The President noted that Russian troops are striking Ukrainian territory daily. The country's Armed Forces require additional resources and capabilities to protect the civilian population.

Just in the last 24 hours, the enemy launched a series of powerful strikes. The main target of ballistic missile attacks was Kyiv. Additionally, destructive airstrikes with aviation bombs were recorded in Sumy, and a missile shelling of Odesa. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed in these attacks.

Throughout the day, "Shahed" drones and other combat UAVs attacked the territories of the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Localization of Production

Earlier, at the NATO summit in Ankara, Donald Trump stated that the US is ready to allow Ukraine to produce Patriot systems. Poland is assigned a key role in localizing this production. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainian ministries must immediately begin technical work on licensing to ensure production launches in the shortest possible time.
