For some people, time alone is a well-deserved rest and a chance to recharge; for others, it is a source of growing emotional discomfort. The entertainment project Styler, part of the RBC-Ukraine media holding, published a ranking of all twelve zodiac signs based on how hard it is for them to be alone. The project's astrologers highlighted those for whom communication, attention, and the presence of loved ones are especially important, as well as those who, conversely, easily find themselves in silence. The original article is available on the Styler website.

The top three: for whom loneliness is the hardest to bear

Cancer tops Styler's ranking — according to the astrologers, this is the sign that finds it hardest to be on its own. Cancer acutely needs warmth, care, and emotional closeness, and its "safe harbor" is a circle of people among whom it can be itself; prolonged loneliness is experienced painfully. In second place is Pisces: these people are extremely sensitive to a lack of attention and emotional connection and may feel lonely even in a crowd if there is no one nearby who truly understands their inner world. Rounding out the top three is Libra, for whom partnership, harmony, and emotional balance are important; without a person to share impressions with and feel needed by, loneliness is not easy for them. It is precisely these three symbols — the crab of Cancer, the fish, and the scales — that are captured in the illustration to the article.

Signs for whom attention and closeness are critically important

In addition to the top three, Styler's astrologers single out several signs for whom the absence of close communication gradually becomes oppressive. Taurus values comfort, stability, and the feeling of a reliable person nearby: it tolerates silence, but a prolonged absence of warmth begins to weigh on it. Leo values attention and a sense of its own significance, so in solitude life seems "too quiet" — although a dramatic Leo is capable of putting on a show on its own. Gemini needs communication literally like air: conversations, messages, and new acquaintances, while prolonged silence quickly becomes irritating. Scorpio may outwardly remain alone calmly, but when genuine emotional closeness is lacking, it experiences loneliness more acutely than it is ready to show.

Who copes easily with solitude

At the other end of the scale are the signs for whom time alone is not a problem. According to Styler's assessment, Aquarius fears loneliness the least: it feels perfectly at home in its own world and perceives solitude as a pleasant pause for its ideas. Sagittarius is hard to frighten with the absence of company — a journey, a new hobby, or a spontaneous adventure will quickly push thoughts of solitude aside. Virgo does not need the constant presence of others: solitude becomes a time to think through tasks and put its thoughts in order. Capricorn outwardly demonstrates self-sufficiency, although behind it sometimes hides a need for a few truly close people. Aries, for its part, does not perceive loneliness as a tragedy: it simply comes up with a new goal and, within a few hours, forgets that it was missing anyone.

Context: what kind of material this is and how to treat it

It is important to understand the genre of the publication: Styler is an entertainment lifestyle project of RBC-Ukraine that combines entertainment and lifestyle and writes about trends, stars, recipes, and horoscopes. The material is in the nature of astrological interpretation and evaluative judgments, not a scientific study; under Ukrainian law, evaluative judgments are not subject to refutation or proof of their truthfulness. Nevertheless, the ranking reflects the descriptions of the "profile" traits of each sign that are stable in the astrological tradition — from the emotional attachment of Cancer and Pisces to the independence of Aquarius and Sagittarius — and can be useful as an entertainment rather than diagnostic text. The Styler editorial team also notes that it may not share the views of the authors of its publications.
