Fuel crisis in Russia: gasoline at 76 rubles, export embargo, and a rollback to Euro-2
By the end of August 2026, gasoline in Russia had risen by 18.3% to 76.38 rubles. The government extended the ban on fuel exports and permitted the production of Euro-2, 3, and 4 gasoline until July 2027, launching imports from Belarus.
