The Price of Surety: What Really Awaits the Guarantor Under Article 180 of the CPC in the Mudra Case
The motion by Rabbi Markovych for surety on behalf of former Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Mudra, before the HACC has exposed the limitations of Article 180 of the CPC: the maximum fine for the guarantor in a corruption case does not exceed 150,000 hryvnias, and criminal liability for the suspect's flight is not provided for the surety.
