China Sets World Record: 3.2 Petabits per Second Over a Single Optical Fiber
Chinese scientists have transmitted 3.2 petabits of data per second over a single 24-core optical fiber — equivalent to over 20,000 4K movies in a second. The technology combines spatial and multi-band multiplexing.
