One video call — and your smartphone is hacked: root-access vulnerability found in Unisoc chips used in budget gadgets
Researcher 0x50594d showed that a video call can grant root access to smartphones on Unisoc T612, T616, T606, and T7250 chips. Unisoc has not confirmed the findings, and the PoC was performed in a laboratory on devices that already had root.
