Pop Ivan mountain in the Carpathians after the first September snowfall

The first snow of September has blanketed the summit of Pop Ivan mountain in the Carpathians. A weather station with a distinctive dome and adjacent buildings are shrouded in thick fog and snowfall. The grassy slope is coated in a dense layer of frost as temperatures dropped below freezing.
