In the morning of July 26, a natural phenomenon was recorded in western Ukraine by the instruments of the Main Center for Special Control. An underground shock was registered in the Lviv area, marking the fourth such event for the current month.
Parameters of the underground shock
According to official data, the epicenter of the earthquake was located within the Pustomyty urban community of the Lviv district. The shock occurred at a shallow depth of only 4 kilometers. The magnitude of the event was 2.8.
The time of the event was recorded at approximately 05:24. Experts classify this earthquake as barely perceptible. This means that for the residents of the region, it likely went unnoticed, causing no panic or damage to infrastructure.
Statistics of seismic activity
Seismologists note that this is not an isolated incident in recent times. Since the beginning of July 2026, four similar events have already been registered on the territory of Ukraine. Monitoring continues, and data on such phenomena are published promptly to inform the population and specialists.
