Ukrainian actor Andrii Fedynchyk, after completing his military service, has returned to his professional activities and joined the new fourth season of the TV series 'The Female Doctor. A New Life', jointly produced by the STB TV channel and the FILM.UA Group. In a blitz interview with the entertainment project Styler (RBC-Ukraine), the actor spoke about balancing work with recovery after surgery, spending time with his son, and reacting to public discussions about his personal life. According to him, his first thought upon returning to the set was 'boundless joy': 'I genuinely missed the profession. This is what I would like to do in life. Could I have manifested myself in other professions? Yes. Do I want to? No!'

A Role Where the Actor Recognised His Own Traits

Choosing the role in the new season, Fedynchyk admitted, turned out to be almost 'autobiographical'. While reading the script, he was surprised at 'how much we have in common': his character is a former military man written off due to back problems, often hot-tempered and restrained, a loner. 'It’s like it’s all about me,' the actor summarized. At the same time, he emphasized that after his service, his attitude toward proposed stories and filming restrictions has not fundamentally changed: 'My filming restrictions are the same as they were before.'

Recovery as Part of the Work Routine

A key practical issue for the actor is combining filming with post-surgery recovery. Fedynchyk explains that with daily exercises he feels 'not bad', but notes: 'This is with me for life now, I need to constantly keep my back in tone: swimming, physical activities that are allowed.' Therefore, he often trains right on set during breaks between scenes. Such a routine, in his words, has become part of everyday life rather than a temporary measure.

Personal Life and Reaction to Public Discussion

When asked about his readiness for a new relationship, the actor replied reservedly: 'Not sure yet. But if I meet love, of course, I won't hide.' Regarding how he reacts to active discussions of his personal life, Fedynchyk said: healthy criticism is important to accept, but hate is ignored — 'they just want to knock you off track. I block the author and move on.' He spends his free time as simply as possible: 'Walking in the yard, having fun at the mall, hanging out at home.' And his nearest non-work-related plan is formulated as 'not to stray from the route,' which he calls 'the most precise in my entire life.'

What's New in the Fourth Season of the Series

The fourth season of 'The Female Doctor. A New Life' is being created by STB and the FILM.UA Group, with the premiere scheduled for 2027. Andrii Isaienko will return to the role of obstetrician-gynecologist Mykhailo Honchar. The new head of the department will be Maryna Yavorska — a woman from his past, while military surgeon Oles Zaharchuk will compete with Honchar in both his professional and personal life. Oleh Melnyk will continue the intrigues threatening the management and work of the medical center. The new season will also star Andrii Fedynchyk, Zoryana Marchenko, Yevhen Yefremov, Nadiia Levchenko, Oleksiy Nagrudny, Oleksandra Lyuta, Nadiia Khilska, and other actors. The director of the season is Andrii Kolesnyk.

Thus, Fedynchyk's return to filming coincided with the launch of a new stage of one of the key series franchises of the FILM.UA Group, where his character with a military past and back problems becomes part of the updated cast and plotlines of the fourth season.
