A new tragedy has occurred in the Kharkiv region against the backdrop of ongoing attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. As a result of a Russian missile strike, a postal terminal of the country's largest logistics operator, Nova Poshta, was destroyed. According to the company, a courier employee died as a result of two hits on the facility.
Nova Poshta's official channel confirmed the incident, stating that the terminal suffered critical damage. The company expressed condolences to the deceased's family and stated that they are in constant contact with them, providing all necessary support during this difficult time.
Logistics under attack
Despite the destruction of the facility, the company quickly restructured its logistics chains to minimize operational disruptions. Customers whose shipments may have been affected by the incident are advised to monitor their package status via tracking in the mobile app or on the operator's website.
This incident is not an isolated case of an attack on the carrier's infrastructure in recent weeks. On the night of July 30, Russian forces attacked a Nova Poshta terminal in Poltava. Despite the damage, the company was able to continue operations in normal mode at that time.
Tragic context
The company suffered particularly heavy losses on the afternoon of July 19. Then, in Kharkiv, also as a result of an attack, three Nova Poshta employees were killed, and another 20 people were injured. The current incident in the Kharkiv region only confirms that logistics facilities remain at risk, and personnel continue to work under constant threat.
