After overcoming bureaucratic hurdles and deep emotional challenges, Darya and her husband Oleksandr decided to change the life of little Angelina. The process began after followers told them about children in Mykolaiv who needed a home, prompting the couple to immediately start gathering documents and preparing the necessary legal framework for adoption.
The Path to the Meeting: From a Dream to a Smile
The decision was conscious and profound. According to Darya, even before meeting the girl, she had a dream featuring the name Angelina, which later coincided with the real child. At the hospital, the couple met two babies, and it was the girl diagnosed with a cleft palate that Darya felt a mental connection with. The first meeting in the hospital corridor during an air raid was tense, but subsequent visits helped establish a bond: one day the girl walked up to Darya herself and said the word "mom," which became a turning point for the whole family.
