The boy was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD); however, thanks to the tremendous efforts of his loved ones and regular specialized classes, the child is demonstrating impressive progress in his development and adaptation to the surrounding world.
Developmental Progress and Neurologist's Opinion
According to the mother, the family had the opportunity to officially register Artem as having a disability, but they chose to abandon this bureaucratic procedure. During a recent routine visit to a specialist — a neurologist in Dnipro — the doctor thoroughly examined the child and confirmed the absence of objective medical grounds for disability registration. The doctor explicitly stated she saw no indications for such measures, given the boy's current condition and developmental dynamics.
Unique Abilities and Phenomenal Memory
During that same medical appointment, an amusing incident occurred that genuinely surprised even the experienced physician. As the specialist was entering Artem's personal data into the computer database, the boy independently read the text from the monitor. As the blogger explains, reading has long extended beyond study sessions: the child curiously studies any street signs and directions right during car trips, demonstrating a high level of cognitive abilities.
In addition, Artem possesses a truly phenomenal memory for his age. He confidently navigates geography, knows all the regions of Ukraine, sovereign states of the world, their capitals, and national flags. Baba Dasha emphasizes that all these achievements became possible solely due to daily labor, investment of time, and the enormous resource the family puts into raising and developing the child.
