Famous Ukrainian choreographer and dancer Olena Shoptenko found herself outside the team for the large-scale reboot of the cult television project "Everybody Dance!", which is returning to screens in 2026. Despite standing at the origins of the show and working on the first seasons as a staging director, this time the artist made a conscious decision to focus on other directions. According to her, she supports the return of dance projects to Ukraine, but her personal professional priorities today lie far beyond the usual television format.
New horizons and studying abroad
In an interview with specialized publications, the choreographer emphasized that her absence from the new season of the popular show is not perceived as any defeat. Currently, her professional vector has shifted towards deep personal development and acquiring new knowledge. Shoptenko is actively studying in England, mastering advanced techniques, and changing familiar professional roles. She admits that stepping out of her comfort zone and fighting fears of the unknown is a necessary step for a person with an established reputation.
Dance movement therapy and charity
Following a forced relocation to Austria, Olena began serious studies in dance movement therapy and the self-exploration method Shadow Work, combining Jungian psychology and body-oriented practices, with certification planned for December 2026. The knowledge gained is successfully applied within her own Hush! Dancepy program, and she also actively channels her skills into helping others by organizing charity events to raise funds for the prosthetics of Ukrainian veterans.
Details of the 2026 project reboot
It is worth noting that the television project "Everybody Dance!" itself is returning to the airwaves after years of hiatus thanks to the efforts of the SWEET.TV platform, with filming starting in September 2026 in Kyiv. The updated panel of judges and hosts promises to make the show vibrant and inclusive, specifically through a partnership with the Superhumans Center. Meanwhile, Olena Shoptenko continues to develop her brand in Europe and Ukraine, proving that true talent is not limited to the framework of a single television project.
