Ukrainian boxer Denis Berinchyk is on the final stretch before his return to the ring. On August 29, a fight will take place in London that will become a significant stage in the Ukrainian's career after a long break. His opponent will be the British Sam Knox, who holds high positions in the WBO rankings and the world standings. On the air of Champion Radio, the athlete shared details of the preparation, talked about recovery after an injury, and even revealed details of his first experience in cinema.

Title Fight in London: Stakes and Opponent

The fight scheduled for August 29 is of fundamental importance for Denis Berinchyk. At stake is the vacant WBO International belt, which the Ukrainian athlete held in the past. Berinchyk's opponent will be Sam Knox — the third number in the WBO ranking and the seventh number in the world standings. This makes the upcoming encounter extremely difficult and requiring maximum concentration and physical readiness from the Ukrainian.

"Less than two weeks left, on Friday we are leaving for London. And we will fight for the WBO International title, which I once had," emphasized Berinchyk, confirming that the team is already finishing training camps and preparing to fly to the UK.

Recovery from Shoulder Injury

One of the main questions that worried fans and experts was the health status of the Ukrainian. Last year, Denis underwent complex surgery on his shoulders, which required a long period of rehabilitation. The first attempt to return to the ring required colossal efforts, but now, according to the boxer himself, the shoulder is fully restored.

The main task at the final stage of preparation is to complete sparring and the final training cycle without new injuries. Berinchyk admitted that the general physical preparation was successful and gave him pleasure, but now the focus has shifted exclusively to speed and boxing technique. "I am already tired, but I need to get together for a week, because I still have a certain stage of preparation," noted the athlete.

Movie Debut: Denis Berinchyk Playing Himself

In addition to sports news, Denis Berinchyk shared impressions of participating in the filming process of a feature film. In the film, he had to play himself — a professional boxer. According to the Ukrainian, he agreed to participate immediately, as the role fully corresponded to his real life.

The filming was intense: all the material was shot in one day, but the work was done "to the full." Berinchyk admitted that in the scene he had to hit a partner on the set, but he was reliably protected, and the punches were caught by the ring. This experience became a new challenge for the boxer outside the sports arena.

Contradictory Data

During the monitoring of sources, discrepancies were identified regarding the format of Denis Berinchyk's future performances. While the main sources (Sport RBC.UA, Korrespondent) confirm readiness for a classic boxing match against Sam Knox, earlier there was information about a possible fight under K-1 rules. This creates a certain uncertainty in the athlete's long-term plans, however, the current priority — the title fight in boxing — remains unchanged.
