American aerospace giant Boeing has officially confirmed the successful completion of the certification test program for two of its newest models: the Boeing 737 MAX 7 and the Boeing 737 MAX 10. This event marks a critical milestone on the path to obtaining official certificates from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), paving the way for the resumption of mass deliveries.
Although final certification is not yet complete, successfully passing this stage means the company has overcome its largest technical hurdle. Now, engineers and regulators can focus on finalizing documentation and issuing flight permits.
What was tested during the trials?
The testing program was extensive and covered key aspects of safety and operational performance of the airliners. Boeing specialists conducted a thorough check of the following systems:
- Operation of the engine anti-icing system, which is critical for flight safety in adverse weather conditions.
- Functioning of the improved angle of attack system, which is one of the key elements of aircraft control.
- Braking efficiency on wet runways, as well as the overall reliability of the landing gear.
- Characteristics of rejected takeoff at maximum speed.

Delivery Schedule and Certification Status
According to the manufacturer, the Boeing 737 MAX 7 model is ahead of schedule. Currently, approximately 95% of the preparation of necessary documents is complete. Maintaining the current pace of work, Boeing plans to obtain FAA certificates by the end of 2026. The first deliveries of aircraft to customers are scheduled for 2027.
Who is waiting for the new airliners?
The new versions of the 737 MAX family are already generating huge interest among major global airlines. In particular, Southwest Airlines is expecting to receive the MAX 7 version. The stretched MAX 10 version, capable of carrying more passengers over long distances, is awaited by industry giants such as United Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
