Ukraine's defense sector has received a new digital tool for equipping units. The state marketplace Brave1 Market has launched a special Procurement Cabinet, allowing the military to officially and safely place orders for necessary goods at their own expense. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing the Ministry of Defense.
Digitalization of procurement: from personal agreements to a transparent system
Until recently, the functionality of the Brave1 Market platform was limited to the mechanism of purchasing goods with ePoints — an internal currency awarded for completing tasks and achievements. If a unit needed to purchase equipment or consumables with its own funds, commanders had to negotiate directly with manufacturers, creating risks and opacity in the supply chain.
Now the process is fully digitized. In the Procurement Cabinet, the military can place orders for any goods available on the marketplace, paying either with money or ePoints. The entire process has become official, transparent, and secure.
First results of the new tool
The new mechanism is already being actively used by Ukraine's defense forces. To date, 22 orders totaling almost 19 million UAH have been placed through the Procurement Cabinet. This testifies to the high demand for the tool among military units, which now have a legal and convenient way to meet their needs.
Control and transparency: what this means for the state
The Ministry of Defense notes that the launch of the Procurement Cabinet allows the state to track every purchase made by the military at their own expense. This increases the level of control over the expenditure of funds and ensures the transparency of the unit supply algorithm. For the military, this means a fast and clear way to obtain the necessary equipment without bureaucratic delays.
Platform development: grants for innovations
Alongside the launch of the Procurement Cabinet, Brave1 Market continues to expand its capabilities. Earlier, the platform announced new grants of up to 8 million UAH per project. The focus of support is on developments in the field of laser air defense, evacuation transport, and robotics. These measures are aimed at accelerating the implementation of innovations on the front and ensuring a technological advantage over the enemy.
