Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has officially announced the country's withdrawal from the so-called 'coalition of the willing'. This political alliance of European states insists on continuing large-scale financial and military support for Kyiv.
Priority of diplomacy over military action
In his address, the head of state emphasized that the current strategy of prolonging the conflict through military means is a dead end. According to Radev, the only correct solution is to launch a powerful diplomatic mission capable of ending the escalation and leading to a peaceful settlement.
Limits on military aid
Previously, the president stated that Bulgaria has exhausted its possibilities for providing direct military aid to Ukraine. As an alternative, Sofia is ready to assist in the repair of military equipment, but the country has refused to participate in new arms deliveries.
