The Ukrainian government has received comprehensive information on the status of civil defense and resilience plans in all regions of the country. Special attention during the inspection was paid to the capital, where the concentration of risks and threats remains maximum.
This was reported by Prime Minister Serhiy Kretsky in his Telegram channel. According to him, the results of the large-scale audit were presented today at the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
Priorities and risks
During the meeting, a clear list of areas requiring immediate strengthening of resources and security measures was formed. The Prime Minister emphasized that the analysis of the situation in Kyiv was conducted separately, taking into account the specifics of the city and the scale of possible threats.
Kretsky outlined the main goal of the work: "The result must be one — full readiness of communities to pass the winter under conditions of Russian terrorist attacks and unconditional implementation of each item of the approved plans".
Emergency support measures
Parallel to security issues, the government continues to work on economic solutions. Earlier, on August 5, the Cabinet of Ministers held emergency meetings with representatives of Ukrainian business. The goal of the dialogue was to find effective mechanisms for work against the backdrop of intensified attacks from the Russian Federation.
It has also become known about plans to update the state budget by the end of the current year and to form a plan for 2027. The need for changes is caused by the realities of hostilities and a separate decision of the Verkhovna Rada.
In addition, on August 3, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted the first decision from the emergency support package for farmers. This step was made in response to strikes on port infrastructure and concerns the regulation of export product prices.
