In the morning of August 4, changes were recorded in the exchange rates of major foreign currencies on the Ukrainian currency market. The US dollar showed growth both in banks and exchange offices, while the euro demonstrated a decrease in value at currency exchange points.
Situation in exchange offices
According to the Minfin portal, as of the morning of August 4, the average dollar rate in exchange offices was 44.82 UAH for purchase and 44.70 UAH for sale — both indicators decreased by 3 kopecks compared to the previous day. The European currency also became cheaper: the euro is sold at 51.63 UAH (-2 kopecks), and bought at 51.40 UAH (unchanged).
Rates in banks
In the banking system, the dynamics were different. The average dollar selling rate in banks rose to 45.07 UAH (+11 kopecks), and the purchase rate — to 44.57 UAH (+9 kopecks). The euro in banks became more expensive: it is sold at 52.00 UAH (+24 kopecks), and bought at 51.24 UAH (+17 kopecks).
Major banks: where is it more profitable?
Among the leaders of the financial sector, the most attractive conditions are offered by the following institutions:
- PrivatBank: dollar sales in branches — 45.05 UAH (+20 kopecks), via cards — 45.04 UAH (+20 kopecks). Euro in branches — 52.00 UAH (+10 kopecks), via cards — 51.98 UAH (+17 kopecks).
- Oschadbank: via the "Mobile Oschad" app, the dollar is sold at 45.10 UAH (+20 kopecks), via cards — 45.20 UAH (+20 kopecks). Euro in the app — 52.05 UAH (+30 kopecks), via cards — 52.15 UAH (+25 kopecks).
- PUMB: dollar in branches — 45.10 UAH (unchanged), at the commercial rate — 44.90 UAH (unchanged). Euro in cash desks — 51.90 UAH (unchanged).
- Monobank: dollar — 45.03 UAH (+20 kopecks), euro — 52.01 UAH (+21 kopecks).
Where to buy currency cheaper?
The most favorable dollar purchase rate among major banks is at PUMB at the commercial rate: 44.90 UAH. This is followed by Monobank (45.03 UAH), PrivatBank via cards (45.04 UAH), and PrivatBank branches (45.05 UAH). The highest selling rate is offered by Oschadbank for card operations — 45.20 UAH.
When buying euros, the lowest rate is at PUMB — 51.90 UAH. Then come Monobank (52.01 UAH), Oschadbank via the app (52.05 UAH), and the most expensive are Oschadbank's card services (52.15 UAH).
Where is it more profitable to sell currency?
The maximum dollar purchase rate is offered by Oschadbank (via app and cards) — 44.65 UAH. Almost the same rate is at Monobank — 44.63 UAH, as well as at PUMB at the commercial rate — 44.60 UAH. In PrivatBank, the card purchase rate is 44.60 UAH, in branches — 44.45 UAH.
It is most profitable to sell euros to Oschadbank via the app — at 51.35 UAH. In Monobank, the purchase rate is 51.31 UAH, in PrivatBank (cards) and Oschadbank's card services — 51.30 UAH, while PUMB buys euros at 51.20 UAH.
