The currency market in Ukraine is recording another increase in the value of the US dollar. As of the morning of July 29, banks adjusted the average selling rate of the "greenback" by 20 kopecks, bringing it to the mark of 45.24 hryvnias. The situation in exchange offices is even more noticeable: there, the currency increased by 8 kopecks at once, settling at the level of 45 hryvnias.

This growth is significant for buyers: it is now impossible to buy a dollar at a rate of 44 hryvnias, neither in bank cash desks nor in currency exchange points. Against the backdrop of the dollar's strengthening, the cost of the euro in banks has also increased — by 7 kopecks.

Situation in exchange offices

According to data from the Minfin portal as of the morning of July 29, the average dollar rate in exchange offices was 45 hryvnias (+8 kopecks) for purchase and 44.90 hryvnias (+10 kopecks) for sale. The euro also became more expensive: it can be bought for 51.45 hryvnias (+5 kopecks), and sold for 51.25 hryvnias (+5 kopecks).

Rates in banks

The banking sector demonstrates similar dynamics. The average selling rate of the dollar in banks reached 45.24 hryvnias (+11 kopecks), and the buying rate was 44.68 hryvnias (+7 kopecks). The euro in banks is offered at 51.56 hryvnias (+7 kopecks), while the buying rate decreased by 2 kopecks and stands at 50.73 hryvnias.

Quotes of leading banks

The country's largest financial institutions have also updated their tariffs:

  • PrivatBank: dollar sales in cash desks — 45.15 UAH (+10 kopecks), for cards — 45.24 UAH (+20 kopecks). Euro in branches — 51.60 UAH (+20 kopecks), by card — 51.54 UAH (+6 kopecks).
  • Oschadbank: in the mobile app, the dollar costs 45.10 UAH (+5 kopecks), for cards — 45.20 UAH (+5 kopecks). Euro via the app — 51.40 UAH (unchanged), by card — 51.55 UAH (unchanged).
  • PUMB: in cash desks, the dollar is sold for 45.30 UAH (+10 kopecks), by card — 45.10 UAH (+10 kopecks). Euro in branches — 51.70 UAH (unchanged).
  • Monobank: the dollar is offered at 45.20 UAH (+17 kopecks), the euro — at 51.53 UAH (unchanged).

Thus, purchasing 100 US dollars in leading banks as of July 29 will cost from 4510 to 4530 hryvnias, depending on the chosen financial institution and method of purchase.
