A double joyful event has occurred in the family of the famous Ukrainian writers and publishers, the twin brothers Kapranov. On the same day, two heirs were born into the family: a granddaughter and a grandson.

As reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the family's official Facebook page, news first emerged of the birth of a daughter to Oksana Kapranova. The daughter of publisher Vitaliy Kapranov gave birth for the second time. A girl weighing 4100 grams and measuring 57 centimeters was born. In the family's post, Oksana and her husband Yaroslav were named the parents of the baby Pavlyna, who became a sister to her son Martyn.

"Congratulations! Just now, our daughter Oksana gave birth to us a granddaughter in Kyiv, and Martyn a sister named Pavlyna. Thank you, Oksana and Yaroslav!" reads the social media post.

However, the news did not end there. On the same day, the family of the late Dmytro Kapranov's son also welcomed a new member. Dmytro Kapranov Jr., who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the rank of Major, became a father for the first time. Together with his wife Inna, he gifted the family a grandson.

"Well, congratulations again! While you were wandering somewhere, these people gave us another grandson! So, in one day — two, a granddaughter from the daughter and a grandson from the son! Bingo!" the Kapranovs wrote enthusiastically in their post.

The family thanked daughter-in-law Inna and Dmytro for the happiness, adding a joking remark that the Kapranovs are "capable of anything for PR" when it comes to such coincidences.

The story of a large family

Brothers Dmytro and Vitaliy Kapranov, being twins, created a unique family structure. They married twin sisters, Svetlana and Inna, respectively. Although formally these were two separate families, they lived together and raised four children — Serhiy, Dmytro, Oksana, and Andriy — as a single unit.

With the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, members of the Kapranov clan stood up to defend the country. The brothers and their sons took part in the hostilities. Unfortunately, the elder brother, Dmytro Kapranov, passed away in April 2024 at the age of 56 due to heart problems. Despite this loss, the family continues to grow and strengthen, as evidenced by the recent double addition.
