The Ukrainian currency market continues to show dynamics, and for those planning to exchange cash or pay for a purchase abroad, accurate figures for the current moment are relevant. As of July 18, rates in exchange offices and popular banking applications have their own features that directly affect the final transaction amount.
Average market rate
According to data from the Minfin portal, the average indicators for today look as follows. In exchange offices, the US dollar can be purchased at a rate of 44.72 hryvnias, while the sale of currency (selling) is valued at 44.62 hryvnias. The difference between buying and selling remains minimal, indicating stable demand.
The Euro also maintains its position: buying European currency in exchange offices costs an average of 51.38 hryvnias, and it can be sold for 51.20 hryvnias.
Rates in major banks
For clients using non-cash settlements, conditions may differ from cash rates. PrivatBank offers to buy a dollar at a rate of 44.85 hryvnias (for cards), and the euro at 51.45 hryvnias.
Oschadbank differentiates conditions depending on the service channel. In the mobile app, the dollar is offered at 44.85 hryvnias, while the rate for card payments is 44.95 hryvnias. The situation with the euro is similar: the rate in the app is 51.50 hryvnias, and for card operations — 51.65 hryvnias.
PUMB offers one of the most attractive rates for card purchases: the dollar costs 44.80 hryvnias. Monobank also keeps the rate at 44.80 hryvnias per dollar, and the euro in this bank is valued at 51.54 hryvnias.
How many hryvnias are needed to buy 100 dollars?
For clarity, one can calculate the approximate cost of buying 100 US dollars in different financial institutions, based on current selling rates for cards and apps:
- Exchange offices (average rate): 4472 hryvnias.
- PrivatBank: 4485 hryvnias.
- Oschadbank (app): 4485 hryvnias.
- Oschadbank (card): 4495 hryvnias.
- PUMB: 4480 hryvnias.
- Monobank: 4480 hryvnias.
As can be seen from the calculations, the difference in the cost of buying currency in different banks can reach 15 hryvnias per 100 dollars, which should be taken into account when planning large transactions.
