Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, marked by significant changes in the working format and personnel composition. The central event of the meeting was the first report by the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapatyy, who took office on July 21.

Operational Situation and Critical Sectors

During the meeting, Drapatyy presented a detailed analysis of the current situation along the line of contact. The military leadership paid special attention to three key directions where the highest concentration of enemy forces and intensity of combat operations are recorded:

  • Sloviansk direction: emphasis was placed on tasks to contain attempts to breach defensive lines.
  • Konstantynivka direction: measures to stabilize flanks under active assault operations were discussed.
  • Zaporizhzhia front: primary focus was on countering the activation of the enemy's maneuver reserves.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized the situation at the front as complex. Following the report, a decision was made to expand support programs for Ukrainian units. Specifically, the army is transitioning to priority and accelerated supply of frontline units with electronic warfare (EW) systems against FPV drones, as well as direct delivery of drones from manufacturers' warehouses.

Threats to Infrastructure and Ports

In addition to the ground situation, the Staff members reviewed reports from the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) and the Foreign Intelligence Service in detail. The intelligence services warned of Russia's preparation for a new wave of combined strikes, which could be directed at civilian infrastructure, facilities in the Odesa region, and merchant vessels.

In response to this data, the President stated that law enforcement agencies are already developing a comprehensive set of measures to counter air threats. Zelenskyy emphasized the need to prepare for a possible escalation scenario and the protection of critical facilities.

Economic Block and Logistics

The meeting featured an expanded format, including economic and logistics issues on the agenda. The Head of Government, Serhiy Kretsky, was heard at the Staff. The Cabinet of Ministers was tasked with presenting a plan for diversifying export routes within a week. This measure is aimed at minimizing economic damage from possible shelling of port and transport infrastructure.

According to reports, the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyy, is focused on reforming logistics chains. Alongside preparing defensive measures, integration talks were held this week with the NATO Commander in Europe, Alexus Grinkevich. The parties discussed coordination issues, including the possibility of using long-range systems to strike rear bases.
