Enemy attacked Kyiv Oblast on the morning of August 31: four injured, Russia struck Slavyansk with a FAB-500 bomb overnight

On the morning of August 31, 2026, the enemy carried out strikes on Kyiv Oblast. According to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, four people were injured as a result of the attack. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an official representative of the regional authorities.

Casualties and medical assistance

Two men sustained shrapnel injuries to their limbs. Both were hospitalized at a local hospital, where medical staff are providing them with the necessary care. Two more people were injured in the Boryspil/Brovarsky district; they are also receiving medical assistance. As Tkachenko emphasizes, the enemy continues to strike civilian objects in the Kyiv region, and services are now working on site to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

Strikes on other regions of Ukraine

In the late hours of the night and on the morning of August 31, the enemy also struck other regions. At 04:20, Russia hit the central part of Slavyansk in Donetsk Oblast with a FAB-500 aerial bomb: the entrance to a multi-story residential building was destroyed, at least 32 residential buildings, a hotel, and a kindergarten sustained damage, and four people were injured. In addition, following a strike in the village of Pohreby near Kyiv, warehouse facilities caught fire, and the Air Force warned of the movement of jet drones toward the capital.

Official reaction

"Russia is once again striking civilian infrastructure and peaceful people. We are now working to eliminate the consequences of the attack," stated Timur Tkachenko. According to him, strikes on peaceful objects continue, and the priority for the authorities remains providing aid to the injured and restoring the damaged infrastructure.

These figures and date refer to an earlier incident and do not match the parameters of the morning attack on August 31, in which, according to Tkachenko's official statement, no deaths are reported and four people were injured. It is incorrect to mix these two events in a single chronology: they concern different days and different sets of losses.
