On July 17, the Ukrainian foreign exchange market is showing divergent trends: the US dollar continues to fall, while the European currency shows moderate growth. For many citizens, the question of where it is more profitable to buy or sell currency before the weekend becomes relevant.

Average rates in exchange offices

According to the Minfin portal as of the morning of July 17, the average rates in exchange offices are as follows:

  • US Dollar: selling — 44.91 UAH (down 9 kopecks), buying — 44.43 UAH (down 8 kopecks).

Rates in major banks

The situation in the banking sector is also uneven. PrivatBank offers dollars at 44.85 UAH in cash desks and 44.84 UAH for card payments. Euros in branches cost 51.55 UAH, and via card — 51.54 UAH (unchanged).

Oschadbank sells dollars in its mobile app at 44.85 UAH, and via card — 44.95 UAH. Euros in the app are 51.55 UAH, via card — 51.70 UAH (unchanged).

Where is it more profitable to buy currency?

If you plan to buy 100 dollars, the price difference can be significant. For example, buying from Monobank instead of a PUMB cash desk will save you 20 hryvnias.
