In the center of Moscow, at Kudrinskaya Square, a tragedy unfolded at the Balzi Rossi restaurant. The number of fatalities resulting from the explosion that occurred on the evening of August 1 has reached five. This information was confirmed by Russian sources cited by RBC-Ukraine.
Two injured individuals died in hospitals, leading to an increase in the death toll. Earlier reports indicated three victims: a woman who, according to the investigation, brought a homemade explosive device, a security guard, and one of the guests. More than six people remain in critical condition.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has initiated a criminal case under the article on terrorism. According to the preliminary version, the explosive device was hidden in a box supposedly containing a gift and was detonated remotely. The investigation is considering the theory that the woman who delivered the box may not have been aware of its contents.
The official target of the attack has not been named. However, several Russian media outlets and Telegram channels speculate that the target could have been a private event related to the birthday of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, General Alexander Zaitsev. As indirect confirmation of this theory, they cite the inscription 'Alexander 55' noticed on the restaurant stage.

That evening, the establishment near the Stalinist skyscraper on Kudrinskaya Square was closed to the public due to a private banquet.
