On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Ukraine's gas station networks updated their fuel prices. According to RBC-Ukraine, another price hike was recorded, affecting autogas, diesel fuel, and some gasoline brands. At the same time, the dynamics turned out to be uneven—different operators adjusted their prices differently, while some networks kept their previous price tags.
Autogas increased in price across almost all networks
The most noticeable increase was in autogas. At OKKO, WOG, and Ukrnafta gas stations, the cost rose by 1.00 UAH/l, and at UPG by 0.40 UAH/l. Following the update, SOCAR became the network with the most expensive gas on the market at 54.40 UAH/l, while Ukrnafta offered the cheapest gas at 50.90 UAH/l. Thus, the price spread for gas between networks is about 3.5 UAH/l.
Diesel fuel: growth in two networks
OKKO and SOCAR networks raised the cost of all types of diesel—both standard and branded—by 1.00 UAH/l. At WOG, Ukrnafta, and UPG filling stations, diesel prices remained unchanged. This means that for diesel vehicle owners, the final refueling cost now largely depends on the choice of a specific network.
Gasoline: UPG raised all grades
Most operators kept their previous gasoline price tags. The exception was the UPG network, which increased the cost of all grades—A-95, UPG 95, and UPG 100—by 1.00 UAH/l. The rest of the networks made no changes to gasoline, which smooths out the overall picture for the most mass-market type of fuel.
Context: diesel near the 100 hryvnia mark
The October 21 update comes against the backdrop of persistently high diesel prices. According to Glavcom, back on September 22, 2026, the average diesel price in major networks was about 99.23 UAH/l, and at Socar stations, fuel reached the 100 UAH/l mark twice within ten days (premium diesel rose to 103–104 UAH/l). The average price of A-95 gasoline during that period was estimated at approximately 90.21 UAH/l. Current selective increases continue this upward trend.
What this means for the driver
The practical conclusion for motorists is simple: with the same refueling volume, the final amount now noticeably depends on the network. For autogas, the difference between the most expensive (SOCAR, 54.40 UAH/l) and the cheapest (Ukrnafta, 50.90 UAH/l) option reaches 3.5 UAH/l, while for diesel and gasoline, premium networks remain more expensive than basic ones. Amid ongoing growth, it is rational to compare current price tags before refueling, especially for regular long-distance trips.
