The leading Ukrainian defence-tech company «General Chereshnya», known for its unmanned systems developments, has announced an unusual and large-scale diversification of its activities. On September 27, the company officially presented its own music label named 27 Cherry Records, becoming a pioneer among domestic defense technology manufacturers entering the cultural market.
Concept and Sound of the New Label
The first significant release and trademark of the new project was the company's corporate audio logo. According to the creators, the sound design is intended to fully reflect the uncompromising character of the brand. The composition is based on an energetic Jungle Break with a dense tempo of 172 BPM, as well as an aggressive Reese bass styled after the company's mascot.
Company representatives emphasize the technological approach to sound as well: «The speed of a sound wave is 343 meters per second. We strive to always be faster, so we decided to tame the sound and transfer this dynamic into the plane of modern music», the brand's official statement notes.
Cultural Front and Brand Philosophy
Management positions 27 Cherry Records as an independent strategic direction designed to develop and support modern Ukrainian culture. The project's main ideological formula sounds concise and impactful: «Next Gen Defense protects the sky. Next Gen Artists create culture», combining the technological defense of the country with the creative self-expression of the new generation.
It is worth noting that this initiative fits organically into the company's overall strategy of social and public activity. Earlier, the drone manufacturer had already attracted media attention with large-scale charity work, in particular transferring 3.3 million hryvnias to set up a new home for a large family of displaced persons from Mariupol, providing them with a minibus and necessary household appliances.
Controversial Data
In open sources and the media space surrounding the activities of «General Chereshnya», discussions periodically arise regarding the wide range of its financial and investment operations. While some sources focus exclusively on defense contracts and technological innovations, other specialized publications detail the company's large commercial transactions — for example, opening major credit lines with banks for millions of dollars or acquiring prominent real estate in Kyiv. Nevertheless, the launch of the 27 Cherry Records music label is unanimously recognized by experts as a unique precedent of defense sector integration into creative industries.
