Entrepreneurs whose activities have suffered due to the war in Ukraine have been given a new chance for recovery. As part of the Economic Resilience Program (ERP), small and medium-sized businesses can apply for financial assistance of up to $20,000. These funds are intended for the acquisition of basic means of production necessary to resume and expand operations.
Participation conditions and program geography
The program is implemented with the support of the international organization Mercy Corps and the Kyiv City State Administration (KCCA). The main goal of the initiative is to help the affected population and businesses overcome the consequences of military actions. However, not everyone can receive a grant: there are strict territorial restrictions.
Assistance is available for enterprises located in controlled territories of Ukraine, excluding zones of active hostilities, areas with restricted access, or high threat to life. In such locations, business activity is considered too risky for the implementation of the program.
Selection criteria and program successes
Participant selection is conducted on a competitive basis. Entrepreneurs must propose a viable business idea aimed at recovery or development. According to KCCA data, since 2023, 116 small and medium-sized enterprises have already received support under this program. Thanks to the allocated funds, 245 new jobs have been created.
Currently, the acceptance of applications for the grant program is ongoing. Registration is carried out in online format via a special link. Organizers warn that due to the high volume of incoming requests, the processing of applications may take up to six weeks from the date of submission.
How to apply
To participate in the competition, you must register on the program platform. For additional information and consultation on participation issues, citizens can contact the public organization “West Ukraine Digital” by phone: +38 (097) 059-51-88.
This initiative complements other mechanisms of state and international support, including grants for starting a business of up to 1 million hryvnias and compensation for enterprises affected by shelling.
