Milan Fashion Week hosted one of the most anticipated shows of the season — Gucci Spring/Summer 2027. The Italian fashion house's new collection was created under the leadership of creative director Demna, who presented his vision of modern luxury and elegance to the public. The event drew massive global attention thanks to its large-scale set design and star-studded runway lineup.
The Store Show Concept and a New Brand Vision
To present the spring line, the Gucci team transformed the runway into a massive space styled like a signature boutique, which is why the show was titled The Store Show. Inside the improvised store, there were racks, display cases, and interactive zones featuring clothing, bags, and accessories. The designer characterized this work as his "complete personal vision" of the brand, formed after a year of intense work at the fashion house.
According to the creative director, his research showed that Gucci's DNA is based on a deep desire to be part of a more glamorous world while having the courage to reinterpret it according to current values. The show opened with the menswear line, where classic tailoring harmoniously combined with preppy and streetwear elements.
Star-Studded Runway and 1980s Aesthetics
A special role in the collection was played by signature details featuring the iconic Horsebit symbol — an element shaped like a horse's bit, which adorned belts, outerwear, bags, and shoes. The womenswear portion continued the theme of everyday wardrobe staples but added expressive silhouettes: padded shoulders, voluminous furs, and coats. Elements of 1980s and 1990s aesthetics, including tartan skirts and chunky jewelry, were also spotted on the runway.
Side by side with casual looks were daring evening wear pieces: asymmetrical dresses, shiny mini-dresses, and maxi dresses with deep slits. Among the top international models presenting the collection were Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Anok Yai, Candice Swanepoel, Alex Consani, and Ukrainian model Alla Kostromichova, whose appearance brought thunderous applause from the audience.
