In the coming days, Ukraine may become one of the hottest countries in Europe. The synoptic situation in the country is at its peak, but the situation will change radically very soon. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing data from meteorologist and synoptic Natalka Didenko.
The expert addressed citizens who find it difficult to cope with high temperatures with an encouraging forecast: "only three days left to endure".
Change of air masses
According to Didenko, as early as Friday, August 7, in the west of the country, and then on Saturday and Sunday, August 8–9, in most regions, "a new fresh air mass will clip the tail of the heat".
"So, what are three days in a historical context?" — added the synoptic, emphasizing the short-term nature of the current period of extreme weather. Nevertheless, in the next three days, Ukraine will indeed remain one of the hottest spots on the European map.
Temperature maxima and warnings
According to the forecast for August 5, the maximum air temperature throughout Ukraine will range from +32 to +39 degrees Celsius. However, in some regions, the figures may be even higher.
Residents of the Lviv region and the city of Lviv have already been warned about a spontaneous meteorological phenomenon. Between August 5 and 6, during the day, extreme heat is possible in some places — up to +40...+42°C. Synopticians assigned this phenomenon a danger level of III, marked in red.
"Then lie like a starfish in a room or office for another two days, August 6 and 7," — the synoptic ironically noted, describing the expected state of the population on these days.
Expected relief
The situation will begin to improve as early as Friday evening, August 7. Residents and guests of the capital can expect a "blessed rain with thunderstorms," which will help lower the temperature.
"And on Saturday, August 8, you can calmly go to the market or nature. Or just enjoy the freshness from the windows on your favorite sofa," — added the expert.
The weather forecast schedule for Kyiv from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center confirms that the week will end with a comfortable air temperature. "Just a little more, just — strong heat. However, the week will end with a comfortable air temperature," — the specialist concluded.
