Payment service hutko has introduced a new free tool for Ukrainian entrepreneurs — an IBAN widget that allows them to accept payments directly to a bank account without the need to manually copy requisites. Instead of sending long text messages containing account numbers and codes, entrepreneurs can now use a single short link through which a client can quickly complete a payment.
Overcoming the inconveniences of manual transfers
For a significant portion of Ukrainian micro-businesses, sending bank details via messengers remains the primary way to receive funds. While this format is universal and IBAN transfers are essential for B2B transactions and large sums, it comes with numerous risks. Clients frequently make mistakes when manually entering characters, confuse payment descriptions, or send screenshots instead of confirmations.
Such errors lead to delayed transfers, unidentifiable incoming funds, and lost customers who postpone payment for later. The new widget completely eliminates this problem by automating payment data preparation and minimizing the human factor during financial transactions.
How link creation and payment work
The link creation process is streamlined: the entrepreneur enters the company or sole proprietorship name, tax ID or enterprise code, IBAN number, as well as the amount and payment description. The amount can be fixed for specific orders or arbitrary, which is particularly convenient for charity collections and donations. The ready-made link can be shared via any communication channel, including Telegram, Viber, Instagram, or SMS.
When clicking the link, the payer is directed to a page with pre-filled requisites where they simply select their bank and confirm the transaction in their regular mobile banking app. The service supports integration with more than twenty Ukrainian financial institutions, including PrivatBank, monobank, PUMB, and Sense Bank.
Technical features and service availability
Technically, the tool is a convenient wrapper for a standard bank transfer rather than card acquiring. Funds are credited directly to the entrepreneur's account as a regular IBAN transfer, and all transaction details are reflected in the bank statement.
The tool requires no complex website integration, IT involvement, or merchant registration. The service is provided completely free of charge with no limits on the number of created payment links, making it an optimal solution for beauty salon masters, independent specialists, and social media online stores.
