On the evening of September 30, the capital of Ukraine faced another massive enemy drone attack. According to official data from city authorities, a jet-powered drone struck a school building in the Solomianskyi district, causing a fire. Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene to eliminate the consequences of the emergency.

Attack Details and Child Rescue

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on his Telegram channel that at the time of the school strike, students and staff were in safe shelters. Thanks to a timely response to air raid alerts, casualties among children were avoided. Nevertheless, the blast wave and subsequent fire caused material damage to the educational institution's infrastructure.

Fires in Solomianskyi and Obolonskyi Districts

In addition to the school incident, rescuers extinguished a fire on the ground floor of a 16-story residential building in the Solomianskyi district. Simultaneously, heavy destruction and a fire were recorded in Obolon, where enemy drones targeted warehouse facilities. Medical services provided assistance to a victim at the scene.

Contradictory Data

Reports regarding the consequences of large-scale night and evening raids on the capital in late September varied across information channels. While official reports from the Solomianskyi and Obolonskyi districts spoke of hits to educational, residential, and warehouse facilities without mass casualties, some regional monitoring channels published differing data on other impact locations, including facilities of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, requiring ongoing verification from the State Emergency Service and local authorities.

Air Force Reaction

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the airborne threat began to escalate after 10 PM when radars detected the approach of jet drones toward Kyiv from multiple directions. Military experts note the increasing danger of using jet-powered drone modifications, which feature higher flight speeds and significantly reduce response time for air defense systems.
