Over the past 24 hours, a large-scale attack by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was recorded in the Kharkiv region. According to the regional military administration, strikes were launched against the city of Kharkiv itself and 29 other settlements in the region. The attacks involved missiles, guided aerial bombs (UAB), and various types of drones.

Casualties and injured in the Kharkiv region

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional military administration, reported tragic consequences of the shelling. As a result of the attacks, two people were killed and 18 were injured. Among the victims are five children.

The breakdown of casualties is as follows:

  • In the city of Kharkiv, a 40-year-old man was killed. Nine people were injured, including a two-year-old and a seven-year-old boy.
  • In the city of Izium, seven people were injured. Among them were an 8-year-old boy, as well as girls aged 13 and 16.
  • In the village of Seredovka in the Vovchansk hromada, a 78-year-old man was killed. A 47-year-old resident of the village suffered an acute stress reaction.
  • Near the village of Kyrylivka in the Starosaltsivka hromada, a 47-year-old man sustained blast injuries.

Countermeasures and strikes on logistics

On Saturday night, in response to attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, logistics facilities in the Russian Federation were struck. The strikes hit the Moscow and Tambov regions.

The 1st Separate Center for Special Operations confirmed the destruction of a large warehouse belonging to the Wildberries network. The facility covers an area of 188,000 square meters. This became one of the significant events in the context of mutual actions by both sides.

Situation in the Dnipro region

Tense conditions persist in other regions as well. In the city of Marhanets, one person was killed and eight were injured as a result of an enemy attack. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration.

Personnel appointments and technical work

Significant changes have also occurred in the sphere of state administration and security. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Oleksandr Poklad, the First Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, as the Acting Head of the agency.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warned about the temporary unavailability of the "Reserve+" application from July 18 to 22. The suspension of operations is due to scheduled technical maintenance.

International appointments

In the sphere of economics and international relations, Alexey Sobolev, who previously held the post of Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture in Yulia Sviridenko's government, has joined the economic bloc of the new structure. This appointment may influence the further development of economic ties and strategies.
