The film and television platform Kiyivstar TV has unveiled its new Original series 'My New Shore' — a four-episode melodrama about a second chance, inner strength, and the search for oneself. The project is presented as a continuation of the season of Original melodramas on the platform, which was opened by the series 'The Brave Girl'. Thus, Kiyivstar TV is steadily expanding its lineup of Ukrainian stories produced in-house, focusing on authorial dramatic formats shot with a Ukrainian cast and aimed at the local audience.
Plot: from a nightclub to a seaside town
At the heart of the story is 25-year-old Halyna, the city's pole dance champion, who works as a dancer in a men's nightclub. The heroine operates under difficult conditions and firmly refuses to let clients cross her personal boundaries, which leaves her in debt and facing fines. The turning point comes with the death of her aunt: Halyna inherits a house on the coast and heads to a seaside town, where she dreams of starting life anew and opening her own hotel. The plot blends drama with elements of a life story, immersing the viewer in the fate of a woman faced with a choice — stay in her familiar world or take a risk for a new future.
Cast and creative vision
The lead roles in the series are played by Elena Svetrytska and Oleksiy Yarovenko. The cast also includes Nadia Khilska, Maria Krasnosheka, Sofia Yashvili, and other Ukrainian actors. Elena Svetrytska, who plays the lead, explains the project's vision as follows: 'I want the audience to see in this story not just a drama about love, loss, and secrets, but a woman who, at the hardest moment of her life, finds the courage to start from scratch. Because sometimes, to find your new shore, you have to decide to let go of the old one.'
Expanding the lineup of Ukrainian stories
'My New Shore' is part of the platform's broader strategy to develop its own original content. In recent months, Kiyivstar TV has been actively launching Ukrainian series across various genres — from romantic comedies and melodramas to dramatic and crime formats. In late summer, Kyiv in particular hosted a special movie evening dedicated to the Ukrainian romantic comedy 'Hotel Falcon's Glow'. The new Original series continues this logic, adding to the catalog yet another story about personal transformation and choice.
