On the morning of September 16, 2026, Russian forces struck Kyiv with reactive unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the attack, a warehouse building owned by the «Kvartal 95» studio caught fire in the Svytoshyn district of the capital. According to the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations (SESU), one person was injured in the incident. SESU units worked at the scene, extinguishing the fire and conducting a reconnaissance of the area. Photographs from the scene show the warehouse's interior completely burned out: charred fragments of structures, melted and deformed objects, and a fire hose laid across the water-covered floor.

Twenty Years of History in Ashes

As the studio itself stated in an official post on Instagram, the destroyed premises stored sets, stage costumes, and other props that had been used for two decades in «Kvartal 95» concerts, television shows, films, and series. "Together with it, we lost many sets, costumes, and items that for twenty years have been part of our concerts, television shows, films, and series," the studio's representatives emphasized. According to them, each destroyed item is connected to specific shoots, rehearsals, and project development, giving the losses not only a material but also a deep emotional character for the team.

Despite the scale of the material damage, «Kvartal 95» assured that the studio's work is not stopping. "Russian weapons can destroy property. But they cannot stop us. We continue to work, write new jokes, and help Ukrainian defenders," the collective stated. The studio also confirmed that all scheduled concerts will take place on the established schedule. The statement included gratitude to the SESU units, which responded promptly to the alert and worked at the scene of the emergency.

Beyond the Scale: Another Object in the Svytoshyn District

According to data published by a number of Ukrainian and international media outlets, the same morning attack on September 16 affected not only the «Kvartal 95» warehouse. According to information citing local sources, a warehouse premises connected to the Yelena Zelenska Foundation also burned down in the Svytoshyn district. Thus, the drone strike affected at least two objects in the same district of the capital, indicating a targeted nature of the attack on infrastructure located in this area.

The September 16 attack became the latest in a series of Russian drone strikes on Ukrainian cities. The use of reactive kamikaze drones capable of carrying a warhead over significant distances remains one of the key elements of the air campaign. For Kyiv, such strikes pose a particular threat due to the concentration of cultural, administrative, and logistical objects in the capital.
