The Ukrainian capital has deployed the first automated combat systems of domestic production designed to intercept and destroy air targets. We are talking about 12 turrets operating under artificial intelligence control and equipped with machine gun modules to neutralize Shahed-type jet drones.

Domestic Technologies Guarding the Sky

According to Serhii Beskrestnov, an adviser on defense technology development known by the call sign Flesh, these defense systems were entirely developed by Ukrainian engineers. The integration of artificial intelligence allows the automation to independently detect, track, and engage high-speed objects in limited timeframes.

Scaling Plans and Authorities' Reaction

The successful deployment of the first batch of units paves the way for their serial production and installation in other strategically important zones. Military experts note the high efficiency of such robotic solutions in reducing the burden on traditional mobile fire groups and saving expensive anti-aircraft missiles.

Civilian Safety Measures

Due to the deployment of new combat systems within the city limits, experts and defense representatives strongly urge local residents to strictly follow safety rules. During air raid alerts, it is strictly not recommended to stay near windows, as the operation of large-caliber machine guns generates a powerful sound wave and poses potential risks.

General Air Defense Context

Alongside the introduction of AI-powered turrets, Ukraine continues to develop other asymmetric responses to air threats, including small-sized missiles and specialized ammunition. The current destruction rate for jet drones is estimated by the country's leadership at 50-60%.
