In Kyiv, starting August 15, 2026, new stages of road repair work will begin on key city transport arteries. Specifically, traffic will be partially blocked at European Square and Zlatoustovska Street. These measures are aimed at improving the condition of the road surface and ensuring the safety of road users. Restrictions will be in place for several days, requiring drivers and public transport passengers to carefully plan their routes.
Restrictions at European Square
At European Square, traffic restrictions will be in effect from August 15 to 23. According to information from the state enterprise "Kyivavtodor", employees of the road management department will carry out current repairs in stages and sequentially, so a complete closure of traffic is not planned. This will allow minimizing inconvenience for drivers and pedestrians while ensuring high-quality execution of repair work.
Repairs on Zlatoustovska Street
On Zlatoustovska Street, traffic will be partially restricted from August 17 to 31. Repair of the asphalt concrete pavement will continue on the section from Pavlovskaya Street to house No. 14. Drivers are urged to take these restrictions into account when planning their routes around the city. The work is being carried out as part of a program to improve the condition of the road surface in the capital.
Changes to public transport routes
Due to the holding of food fairs on Holosiivska, Tatarska, Iordanska, Serzh Lifar, and Ihor Yukhnovskyi streets, the state enterprise "Kyivpasaztrans" is changing the routes of several routes. Buses No. 39, 98, 110, 31, 112 and trolleybus No. 34 will operate on changed routes. These changes are aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted operation of public transport under the conditions of the events.
Contradictory data
While official sources report partial closures and phased repairs, some drivers and city residents express concern about possible delays and inconveniences. Some sources indicate that restrictions may be longer than announced due to unforeseen circumstances. However, according to official statements, all work will be completed within the established deadlines.
Additional restrictions in the city
Other local traffic restrictions are also in effect in Kyiv. In particular, a traffic restriction is being prepared due to repairs on the Southern Bridge viaduct, where work on the pavement will continue for several days. In addition, since August 10, traffic has been restricted on Holosiivskyi and Roman Shukhevych avenues. Due to the large-scale repair of the asphalt concrete pavement, partial traffic restrictions on these sections will continue until autumn.
Drivers and public transport passengers should take these changes into account when planning their routes. City authorities urge all road users to follow the rules and be careful on the roads.
