On Friday morning, September 11, against the backdrop of ongoing regular strikes by the Russian Federation, the routing scheme for part of Kyiv's public transport was changed. Due to traffic closures on certain sections of the capital, the municipal enterprise "Kyivpasstrans" redirected a number of trolleybus and bus routes. Passengers were advised to refer to the updated schemes published in the enterprise's official Telegram channel.
What changed in trolleybus operations
At 10:11, the "Kyivpasstrans" press office reported that, "due to a traffic closure," trolleybus routes on Stepana Bandera Avenue had been adjusted. The specific route numbers and new operating schemes were posted by the enterprise in its Telegram channel; at the closure point, traffic is being managed along the updated route in both directions.
How buses were rerouted
Shortly after, at 10:27, the enterprise clarified that similar changes affected traffic on Roman Shukhevych Avenue. Buses operating on this section have been directed along the following scheme: Ronald Reagan Street — Bratislavska Street — Ihor Yuhnovskyi Street, and then — along their own route scheme in both directions.
Support headquarters for the affected
According to the Kyiv City State Administration, a support headquarters for those affected by the enemy attack on September 11 has been set up in the Dniprovskyi district. Its address is 5 Eduard Wilde Street (Gymnasium No. 184).
Context: overnight drone attack
As a reminder, on the night of September 11, Russian military forces attacked Kyiv with strike drones. A nine-storey residential building caught fire in the Dniprovskyi district, and there are casualties. In addition, according to morning reports, drones hit two gas stations in different districts of the capital. It is precisely the aftermath of these strikes and the traffic closures that prompted the adjustment of surface transport routes.
