On August 8, Kyiv is expected to experience a significant deterioration in weather conditions. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has declared a yellow danger level, warning the capital's residents of the possibility of severe thunderstorms, gusty winds, and hail. Forecasters predict that the bad weather will affect the city throughout the day, creating risks for pedestrians and motorists.

According to meteorologists, Kyiv will be cloudy with clearings. The wind will be from the north, with gusts reaching 5–10 m/s. At night, the air temperature will be around +20°C, while during the day the air will warm up to 25–27°C. However, thunderstorm fronts may lead to sharp temperature fluctuations and local flooding of streets.
Precautionary measures for residents
During the thunderstorm, city residents are urged to exercise special caution. It is recommended to avoid staying near advertising structures, power lines, and large trees, which may fall under the influence of gusty winds. It is also not recommended to leave cars near such objects to avoid damage to the vehicle.

August thunderstorms may temporarily improve the situation, but the long-term consequences of the drought remain a serious problem.
