LEGO has officially confirmed the release of a large-scale set dedicated to the cult TV series 'The X-Files'. The announcement came after images of the upcoming product leaked online, fueling fan excitement. Sales are scheduled to begin on August 4, with the set priced at $200.

Two Iconic Scenes in One Box

The set includes 1,478 pieces and allows fans to build two iconic locations from the show's universe. The first scene is Agent Fox Mulder's office, filled with clues and conspiracy notes. The second is an atmospheric nighttime appearance of an alien in the woods. Special attention has been paid to detail: the UFO is mounted on a transparent stand, creating the effect of the ship hovering above the treetops.

The builders have provided flexibility in assembly: both scenes can be combined into a single composition or displayed separately. The developers also included several 'Easter eggs' for fans, including the iconic 'I Want to Believe' poster.

Characters and Actress Involvement

The set will feature eight mini-figures representing key heroes and antagonists of the show. Among them are Agents Mulder and Scully, the mysterious Mr. X, the Smoker, and an alien. The project's special status is enhanced by the involvement of Gillian Anderson, who played Dana Scully in the original series. The actress appeared in the promotional video announcing the set.

From Fan Project to Official Release

The story behind this set began with a community initiative. It was created based on a fan project that won the LEGO Ideas competition in the '90s Nostalgia' category. The very fact of the product's release confirms the enduring audience interest in 'The X-Files' decades after the original series aired.
