The night attack by Russia left behind destroyed districts in western Ukraine. In Lviv, one of the most affected cities, rescuers and local residents are clearing rubble in search of people. According to the latest data, the number of casualties has reached 26, including children.
Scale of destruction
The greatest damage was sustained by two residential buildings on Patona and Vyhovskoho streets. The buildings are partially collapsed, windows are shattered, and facades are burnt. Emergency services and volunteers are working at the scene. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported that in total, about 20 buildings were damaged — including schools and kindergartens.
Casualties and rescue operations
Maxym Kozitsky, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, clarified that 15 injured people have been hospitalized. One child is in the hospital. City residents are helping to clear the rubble, where their neighbors or acquaintances might be trapped. Photos from the scene show destroyed cars, concrete debris, and rescuers working in protective gear.
The strike covered the entire country
This night has been one of the heaviest for Ukraine. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Rivne, and other cities. In the suburbs of Kryvyi Rih, a family with three children was killed by an enemy missile. The Russian side continues to strike civilian infrastructure, despite international calls for restraint.
The situation in Lviv remains tense. Rescue operations are ongoing, and authorities promise to assist all those affected. The city is recovering, but the traces of the attack will remain for a long time.
