Maksym Tymchenko, General Director of the DTEK energy holding, has been named among the country's best executives. This was revealed by the "Super Executives: Top Managers of Ukraine 2026" ranking compiled by the authoritative business publication "Focus". Information about this event was published by the RBC-Ukraine agency.
Executives in wartime conditions
Experts from the publication emphasize that Ukrainian business, despite recovery processes, continues to operate under conditions of extreme uncertainty. The article notes that the role of managers during wartime has undergone a radical transformation, going far beyond the scope of classic business management.
Special attention is paid to the energy sector. In the context of a full-scale war, the industry is undergoing rapid technical restructuring. This is why the competencies and decisions of leaders in this field are of critical importance for the functioning of the state.
Industry leaders
Maksym Tymchenko was recognized as one of the best top managers not only in the overall rating but also in a narrow specialization — in the field of energy. The general director of YASNO, Serhiy Kovalenko, also entered this elite list.
This is not the first recognition of the professional merits of the head of DTEK. Previously, Tymchenko already held the top spot in the "Top 50 Leaders of Ukrainian Business" ranking. In addition, he received a separate distinction for his contribution to infrastructure restoration, becoming the winner in the special "Leader of Investments in Restoration" nomination.
Recall that previously, the DTEK holding, owned by Rinat Akhmetov, also received high praise by entering the top list of best employers of 2026.
