In a recent interview, cited by the publication Styler (an RBC-Ukraine project), the singer Arsen Mirzoyan explained in detail how their finances work as a family, how much he sets aside each month for his wife's personal needs, and why monitoring each other's spending is not a mandatory rule for the couple. According to him, the spouses have agreed on separate personal funds, which, in the artist's view, helps preserve both financial independence and trust in the relationship.

Mirzoyan clarified that the family currently lives in their own home as a group of four. For shared needs — groceries and other basic expenses — the spouses set aside joint funds, although they do not publicly disclose the exact monthly amount. The artist also noted that, recently, fuel costs have become a minor expense for the family: they mostly get around in electric cars. “We rarely fill up with gasoline; we usually get around in an electric car,” the singer explained. At the same time, he acknowledged that with the start of the school year, family expenses may rise due to the children's new needs — from school supplies to extra classes.
Tonia's Personal “Pocket” Budget: 20,000 Hryvnia a Month
A key element of the couple's financial arrangement is the separate sum allocated to Tonia Matvienko for personal expenses. According to Mirzoyan, this averages about 20,000 hryvnia per month. These funds are intended for beauty procedures: manicures, hair care, massages, and other cosmetic services. The singer emphasized, however, that the couple has no strict rule about closely monitoring each other's spending. “I know how much I give and roughly how much Tonia earns. But where does it go, and where does she hide it?” the artist joked, underscoring that financial transparency in the family is based on trust rather than control.
Volunteer Trips and Mirzoyan's “Math”
Separately, Arsen Mirzoyan spoke about funding his volunteer trips, during which the family helps military personnel, including by purchasing vehicles. Tonia knows that her husband spends money on charity, but she is not always aware of the exact budget for each specific trip. As a vivid example, the singer recalled a trip to Germany, after which the family brought back six pickup trucks. “She trusts my math,” Mirzoyan summed up with a smile, noting that the money invested in that trip ultimately paid off completely.
