New wave of attacks: Air Force Command warning
The situation on the front remains tense, and the threat of missile strikes remains high. Yuriy Ignat, Head of the Communications Department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, voiced alarming data regarding the enemy's plans during a TV marathon broadcast. According to him, Russia has stockpiled a certain number of missiles, and residents need to react as attentively as possible to air raid sirens in the coming days. The speaker emphasized that ballistic missiles fly very fast, and the time for reaction is extremely limited.
Chronicle of the daytime attack on July 24
Events of today, July 24, confirmed the validity of these warnings. Unlike the usual night shelling, the attack occurred during the day. According to data provided by RBC-Ukraine, three ballistic missiles were launched from the northern direction. The air defense system intercepted one of them, however, two missiles reached their target in the Kyiv region.
Later, according to Ignat, the enemy attempted a strike with Oniks missiles on the southern regions, but they did not reach their targets. Despite this, the threat remains, and the command urges citizens not to lose vigilance.
Tragedy at the range in Bucha district
Particular attention was drawn to the tragedy that occurred as a result of a ballistic missile hitting the territory of a private range in the Kyiv region. The Bucha district suffered the most. The strike hit precisely the location where a public event was being held.
Preliminary data on the casualties of the attack are shocking: six people died, and dozens were injured. The Ukrainian Council of Arms Dealers clarified that representatives of the Ukrainian defense industry were at the range at the time of the attack.
Investigation and ban on mass events
Yuriy Ignat commented on the holding of an event at the range under wartime conditions. He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have long prohibited the holding of public events and large gatherings — this is a matter of security. "Ukraine is at war, and these requirements must be observed at any time, day or night," the speaker emphasized.
In connection with the incident, the General Prosecutor's Office initiated two criminal cases: one — due to the strike on the object itself, and the second — in connection with the violation of safety rules during the holding of a public event. Law enforcement agencies and competent services have already begun to examine the circumstances of the tragedy.
