The situation on the Kharkiv front has intensified again. Russian armed forces have stepped up offensive operations, attempting to seize new territories. This is evidenced by data from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS), which confirms a rise in tension in the region.
Change in enemy tactics
According to sources, Russian troops have concentrated their efforts on the South-Sloboda direction. It is here, in the defensive sector of the "Gart" border brigade, that the highest level of occupier activity is being recorded. Experts note that the enemy is attempting to compensate for losses suffered during recent assaults by changing tactical methods.
Instead of mass attacks on previous sectors, Russian forces have shifted to attempting breakthroughs on new fronts. In particular, the SBGS reported attempts to infiltrate small infantry groups in the area of the settlement of Artemovo, located in immediate proximity to the state border.
Countermeasures by Ukrainian forces
Ukrainian border guards and Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) units are actively responding to the threat. The movement of enemy units is being monitored in real-time. The destruction of enemy personnel and equipment is taking place both on Ukrainian territory and deep within the enemy's rear, even at the stage of deploying groups towards the border.
Situation in the region
Activity on the Kharkiv front has direct consequences for the civilian population. In early July, authorities were forced to expand the evacuation zone, covering three districts of the region at once. This decision was made due to the increased threat of shelling and breakthrough attempts.
At the same time, a different dynamic is observed on the Sumy front. At the end of July, a decrease in the activity of Russian special reconnaissance and sabotage groups was recorded. However, the intensity of artillery shelling in this sector remains high, offering no respite to local residents.
