On the night of September 24, 2026, as a result of a Russian attack on Kyiv, serious damage was sustained by facilities of Ukraine's largest postal and logistics delivery operator — Nova Poshta. As reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an official post by the company itself, branch No. 6 was completely destroyed, while the sorting depot sustained significant damage. Some of the shipments that were on these sites at the time of the attack were also destroyed. Fortunately, there were no injuries among the company's employees.

The complete destruction of branch No. 6 and the damage to the sorting depot mean that thousands of parcels and postal shipments awaiting processing and delivery were in the affected area. According to Nova Poshta, some of them were irretrievably lost. The company has already begun the process of transferring surviving shipments to an alternative site in order to minimize delivery delays for end recipients.

Nova Poshta stated that it would reimburse customers the declared value of all shipments destroyed as a result of the attack. Recipients of surviving parcels will be sent additional information indicating the new address and branch number where the shipment can be collected. Customers can track up-to-date data on the location and status of their parcels through the mobile application or on the company's official website. Work to eliminate the consequences of the attack was ongoing at the time the message was published.

To avoid significant delivery delays, the company deployed its backup logistics infrastructure. This allows the processing and movement of surviving shipments to continue in normal mode, despite the failure of one of the key facilities in the capital. Nova Poshta emphasizes that the transfer of shipments to another location and the elimination of the attack's consequences are proceeding in parallel.
