In the night, Kyiv was hit by another Russian attack, the consequences of which are being dealt with by rescuers from the State Emergency Service (SES). The situation in the city remains tense: multiple fires have been recorded, along with damage to residential and commercial buildings, and casualties.
Preliminary data indicates that at least two people were injured as a result of the strikes. Rescuers have already evacuated and assisted at least five citizens who found themselves in the danger zone. The tragedy also claimed lives: one person died, and five others sustained injuries of varying severity.
Massive fires and destruction
One of the most serious consequences of the attack was a fire in an office building. The flames engulfed a significant part of the structure, requiring the deployment of additional fire crews. In another district, a 9-story residential building was damaged — firefighters extinguished a fire covering an area of 200 square meters. A fire was also recorded in a non-residential building, where the flames spread at an alarming rate.
Particular attention is drawn to an incident involving a three-story building, where the fire area reached 400 square meters. As a result of the strike, more than ten parked cars were burned. In a neighboring 25-story residential building, windows were blown out, creating a threat to residents on the upper floors.
Impact on the population
Reports came in of car fires in various districts of the city, fires on the premises of non-residential buildings, as well as a fire in a four-story dormitory. These incidents led to temporary disruptions in infrastructure and created serious difficulties for residents.
Rescue services are working around the clock to minimize damage and ensure public safety. Despite their efforts, the consequences of the attack remain severe: destroyed buildings, burned cars, and injured people serve as a reminder of the price being paid for the ongoing war.
The situation in Kyiv requires further monitoring and coordination of actions by all emergency response services. The city continues to recover from the strikes, but the threat persists.
