Nina Naboka, a People's Artist of Ukraine, is one of those people who prefer to be prepared for virtually any situation. Instead of a conventional women's handbag, the actress carries a large backpack in which, by her own admission, there is room for cosmetics, medicines, and even a medical device for measuring blood oxygen saturation. Naboka showed journalist Yuliya Hayuk of the Wave RBC.UA lifestyle project the contents of her everyday accessory in a live demonstration: the actress took out each item and explained why she needs it.

A third backpack instead of a handbag: practicality as a principle

The first thing that catches the eye when you look at the accessory is its size. Naboka admitted that she has long switched from classic handbags to backpacks and that this is already her third such item. "Yes, I wear backpacks, I just love them. So I wear them instead of handbags. And this is my third backpack," the actress said. The reason for the choice is purely practical: a roomy backpack fits everything needed for the day, so there is no need to buy or rearrange anything. Among the first items Naboka took out for the show were a cosmetics pouch and a comb — a basic set without which, by her logic, it is impossible to leave the house.

The first-aid kit as the backpack's main "resident"

According to the actress, the first-aid kit takes up the most space in the backpack. "Well, it's a big first-aid kit with me. Everything is in here. I carry it around with me all the time, just in case, so that everything is ready. For myself and for people," Naboka explained. Next to the first-aid kit, the backpack also has room for a deodorant. The actress emphasized that in hot weather she pays particular attention to how she feels and regularly checks her blood pressure. "To measure my blood pressure. I look after myself, I love myself," she joked. Among the documents and valuables, money and a passport are always in the backpack — "absolutely," as Naboka stressed.

A pulse oximeter as a gift from a student

Perhaps the most unexpected item in the backpack was the pulse oximeter — a small device worn on the finger to measure the level of oxygen saturation in the blood. Naboka said she received it as a gift from her student, a journalist named Dianochka. "My student brought it, Dianochka, so to speak, a journalist. She gave it to me as a gift," the actress recalled. Having such a device in everyday use shows that Naboka does not treat health monitoring as a formality, but as part of her daily routine — alongside checking her blood pressure.

Spare glasses, a fan, and an "inner pouch"

Inside the large backpack there is another, smaller pouch. When asked why the actress carries jewelry with her, Naboka answered briefly: "Sometimes I need it." She explained the need for spare glasses in more detail: "These are spares, because I lose my glasses, break them, and I can't do without them." Thus, a second pair of glasses is not a whim for her, but a practical necessity. Among the other items in the backpack was a fan — a simple but extremely useful accessory in hot weather, which the actress also never parts with. And if, after listing all the contents, it might seem that the backpack must be very heavy, Naboka herself treats this with her characteristic humor and lightness.

Showing the contents of the backpack was yet another example of how Nina Naboka — an actress known for her roles in "Catch Kaidash" and other cult Ukrainian films — combines stage brilliance with extreme everyday practicality. For her, a backpack with a first-aid kit, a pulse oximeter, and spare glasses is not an exotic item, but a normal tool for the life of a person who is used to being prepared for anything.
